Introduction

We are looking for a talented person to join the FISITA team and lead our membership aspirations into the next phase of FISITA’s continuing success and growth in the post-covid era.

If you are an experienced manager/leader, with demonstrable success in the area of membership strategy, development, engagement, retention and growth – then we have a wonderful opportunity which we would like to discuss with you.

Overview

To conduct an initial review of FISITA’s operational membership activities against the new era strategy, to include:

  1. Current member engagement and retention
  2. New member scouting and recruitment
  3. New areas of membership


Establishing core member value and benefit, lead the team in the delivery of the FISITA new era strategy as relevant to membership within the modern membership organisation environment, meeting with the expectation of current and future members.

Set out a clear strategy, achieving high-levels of engagement and momentum within the international technology of mobility community – raising the profile of FISITA and achieve growth and retention targets as detailed within the new era plans.

Develop progressive and compelling plans which add to the new era strategy and see FISITA continue to be recognised as the membership organisation of choice for the international technology of mobility community.

FISITA (UK) Ltd Non-Executive Director Opportunity

FISITA is a highly respected international membership organisation, originally established in 1948, that today provides a range of services for the automotive and mobility systems engineering community, and in doing so engages thousands of engineers around the world. 

FISITA activities are delivered in accordance with our Vision statement:  

‘Promoting Excellence in Mobility Engineering’

The operation of FISITA activities is conducted through a UK registered company, FISITA (UK) Ltd, which is based in the UK.  The remote-based staff team works with a large network of member-volunteers around the world who engage in the delivery of all membership activities. 

Recently the FISITA (UK) Ltd Board approved the creation of two additional non-executive director board positions aligned with the needs of the board in the area of Finance and Governance, with both roles also delivering against the broader responsibility as NED in the rapidly advancing area of the ‘technology of mobility.  

The new Board members will be required to: 

  • Support delivery in achieving FISITA’s membership diversification, growth and retention objectives
  • Support the development of FISITA’s relevance and visibility within the mobility industry
  • Act in capacity as member of the board with regard to good governance and long-term sustainability of FISITA (UK) Ltd and the broader FISITA organisation


FISITA (UK) Ltd now invites applications from interested individuals and is seeking to identify suitably qualified candidates for appointment.

Applicants will be:

  • Experienced in the technology and strategy of future mobility and ideally currently in position within a similar organisation to FISITA, or able to demonstrate an appreciation of the membership organisation sector
  • Able to contribute strategically across a wide range of issues and be a collaborative team player
  • Financially and commercially astute with a proven track record of sound judgement and effective decision making
  • Have an understanding and acceptance of the legal duties, responsibilities and liabilities at board level


Time Commitment:  The role will involve attending virtual and in-person, quarterly Board meetings, some ongoing work between meetings, plus preparation time.
