FISITA Newsletter – November 2024

Dear colleagues

I write as we return from delivering a very successful World Mobility Summit in Michigan last week. We will provide a full report in next month’s newsletter, meanwhile we extend our thanks to all who attended, contributed and collaborated in the event, especially to FISITA President, Mike Anderson and the team at General Motors, for hosting us so very well.

As we move to year-end, we have a number of calls to action which you can activate via this newsletter, with the call for papers, commercial opportunities and the Student Competition launched for the World Mobility Conference, and EuroBrake – we’re on the pathway to Barcelona once again!

I also draw your attention to the ‘FISITA Connect’ initiative, a dedicated platform created to enable FISITA member colleagues to register themselves as experts within our community, access others in the international membership community of FISITA, enabling professional networking, Expert Group engagement and open access to FISITA technical content – all at the click of a button.

In this initial phase, we’re encouraging individuals to register themselves as experts, in doing so you will support FISITA to continue to do what we’ve done best for over seven decades, connecting people in order to build networks and knowledge – we’re just building a very modern application via this digital engagement project.

Finally, I am sure you will join me in extending a warm welcome to new members, AESC and LG Energy Solutions – we’re delighted to bring you into the community.

As ever, we’ll be pleased to hear from you with any feedback, questions and your recommendations for new members to join our community.

All the best,

Chris Mason

CEO

It was a pleasure to introduce FISITA Connect from the stage at last week’s FISITA World Mobility Summit. This new exclusive digital platform has been designed to enable FISITA members to connect directly with expert peers from leading companies worldwide via the Database of Experts, collaborate on groundbreaking projects and industry initiatives, and access a wealth of technical resources, insights, and real-time discussions via the Discussion Forums.

There’s a Discussion Forum for each FISITA Expert Group, giving participants the opportunity to extend discussions beyond the time allocated for the meeting.

FISITA Members are invited to register for FISITA Connect – it’s open to anyone from our corporate membership, and the registration process enables members to build their Connect profile and indicate areas of expertise to ensure they connect with like-minded industry experts. We’re excited about FISITA Connect and look forward to seeing as many FISITA members as possible using it to be part of the high-value discussions shaping the future of the technology of mobility. Click here to register.
