To advance discussions that promote innovation and collaboration for the safe, efficient, effective and inclusive development, deployment and adoption of automated driving
1. Publish and promote initial Automated Driving Expert Group white paper
2. Prepare and deliver dedicated Automated Driving Expert Group webinar
3. Develop and progress second-phase scope of work
4. Present work of Automated Driving Expert Group at FISITA World Mobility Conference 2027
Advance Automated Driving Technologies: Identify and promote the development of key technologies essential for automated driving, including perception, planning, control, and localization.
Facilitate Scalable and Robust Deployment Strategies: Develop and evaluate strategies for the efficient and safe deployment of automated driving systems across diverse operational design domains (ODDs).
Address Infrastructure and Connectivity Requirements: Analyse and provide recommendations for the infrastructure and connectivity needs to support the widespread deployment of automated driving, including V2X communication, HD mapping, and edge computing.
Promote Inclusive and Accessible Design: Consider pathways for collaboration to support inclusion and accessibility as priority topics for the design and operation of automated vehicles.
Navigate Regulatory and Legal Landscapes: Provide guidance and recommendations on regulatory and legal frameworks to support the safe and responsible deployment of automated driving, while addressing liability, privacy, and cybersecurity concerns.
Enhance Public Understanding and Acceptance: Develop and disseminate educational materials and outreach programs to improve public understanding and acceptance of automated driving technology.
