Supported by KSAE, the biennial summit brings together leaders of FISITA member organisations for two days of thought leadership, knowledge sharing, networking and the Academy of Technical Leadership Awards. FISITA Webinar: AI for CAE – opportunities and challenges in automotive engineering

AI-driven simulation technologies are increasingly promoted as a potential “holy grail” for the automotive engineering community, promising accelerated vehicle development and breakthrough design capabilities. Nonetheless, important questions remain around topics such as:

– The extent to which machine learning solvers can already deliver reliable, swift, and well-reasoned design decisions.
– The inherent drawbacks and risks of data-driven simulation methods.
– The challenges which must be addressed to enable large-scale implementation of machine learning solvers in safety-critical automotive engineering.
– How geometry-aware machine learning methods can transform design and simulation, and which obstacles still limit their practical adoption.

Beyond the Car – A FISITA Podcast. Episode 1 is now live

Episode 1 of our new podcast is now available.

In 2025, the two-year rolling presidency of FISITA was passed from Mike Anderson to ChangHwan Kim.

Mike is Vice President Global Battery & Propulsion Engineering at General Motors, and ChangHwan is Executive Vice President, and Head of Battery and Hydrogen Fuel Cell Development at Hyundai Motor Company.

As well as discussing their current corporate responsibilities, we talked at length about FISITA—what it means to them, Mike’s reflections on his Presidency from 2023 to 2025, and how ChangHwan aims to lead the organisation during his tenure 2025 to 2027.

EuroBrake 2026 is open for business, returning to Mainz, Germany on 1–3 June 2026. Members are invited to connect through leadership and update meetings, while two new initiatives – the FISITA Webinar series and FISITA “Beyond the Car” Podcast launch to share thought leadership across the mobility community. The first podcast airs on 30 October, alongside a webinar on AI for CAE in automotive engineering in November.
